I've just discovered that Word 2016 doesn't apparently allow a graphics 'line' to be patterned as well as given colour. Am I right or have I missed the command somewhere? This is a significant withdrawal of a facility. Is it a mistake? Is there a current way of overcoming this? How can one raise the subject with MS? Note: At present, I have been able to get around this 'shock to my system''. I have used Word 2007 to create a document with a set of lines bearing the different available patterns. I can then open the document in Word 2016. Selecting the line patterning I want, I can use 'Format painter' to convert the drawing lines in a document to what I want.
