Soak Bathhouse is a family-owned business founded by Gold Coast locals and husband-and-wife duo Niki and Alexis Dean. Having collectively spent years juggling the demands of their corporate careers, raising a family, trying to maintain a social life and prioritising their health, they came to rely on annual visits to health retreats to simply rest and relax. While incredible experiences, they weren’t as affordable or accessible as they believed wellness should be and they were passionate about finding a way to incorporate doses of micro wellness into their regular schedules. And in 2020 – Soak Bathhouse Mermaid Beach was born – a communal bathhouse that offers relaxing experiences and rejuvenating services that are simple, accessible, and affordable. Niki and Alexis are passionate about making wellness easy, accessible and affordable and providing a space that gives more people the opportunity to slow down, switch off and forget that anything else matters.

We’ve lovingly created a relaxed environment where guests feel welcome to come on their own, with a friend or with a small group. This tranquil space gives guests permission to hang back and unwind after their experience, so they can really maximise and enjoy those feelings of relaxation. We’ve ensured our wellness experiences are high quality, affordable and accessible, to give more people the opportunity to fill their cups. We believe wellness is a necessity, not a luxury and at Soak Bathhouse we have experiences that will make everyone feel great. At Soak Bathhouse, we pride ourselves on being a modern Australian bathhouse. To us, this goes deeper than offering experiences and facilities that reflect the Australian lifestyle and culture. It means acknowledging, respecting and including the many different nationalities and cultures that make up Australia. Most importantly, it means acknowledging the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the first inhabitants of the nation. We respectfully acknowledge the Yugambeh People as the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work, and recognise their continuing connection to land, water and community. We recognise and pay respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
