Anonymous 2020-02-18T01:26:26+00:00 What Version of Windows and Office are you using? Here with a 64-bit insallation of WIndows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 and a 64 bit installation of Office 365 ProPlus, Version 2001 (Build 12430.20264), I do not experience the problem. Likewise on a 32-bit insallation of WIndows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.18363 Build 18362 and a 32 bit installation of Office 365 ProPlus, Version 2001 (Build 12430.20264). Nor on a computer with a 64-bit insallation of WIndows 10 Pro, Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363 and a 64 bit installation of Office Professional Plus, Version 2001 (Build 12430.20264) I do however experience the problem on the 32-bit computer when attempting to attach an Excel data source to a mail merge main document when using Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 Version 14.0.7237.5000 (32-bit) As I have also seen a report of the same issue with Office 2007, there does appear to have been some issues caused by a recent update to Windows 10. Try rolling back to the previous version. See https://www.howtogeek.com/235474/how-to-roll-back-builds-and-uninstall-updates-on-windows-10/ Hi, I am also having the same problem as Jon Smith above and i have tried your suggestion to uninstall the latest Windows 10 updates. The problem still cannot be solved. I am using Windows 10 and Office 2010. Anyone can help? 0 comments No comments Report

Anonymous 2020-02-16T15:27:11+00:00 Are you using the OLE DB Database Files method of attaching the data source to the mail merge main document? What does that mean? For us non-savvy computer folks, what steps do we have to take to import an excel file and avoid the catastrophic failure hard stop? Please list steps needed to fix or work around. Thanks so much!
