As this photo shows they use lighting very effectively to make the experience more dramatic. Photographing the mine was made a whole lot easier than it would've been with my previous Nikon D300s. Thanks to the low light capability of my recently purchased D7200 and my f2.8 11-20mm Tokina lense it was reasonably easy to acheive decent results. Unfortunately this didn't stop me ruining about half the photos as I'd somehow taken the camera off autofocus and it was too dark to see that I was taking blurred shots........ We had understood that the Salt Mine was sold out in advance thanks to the influx of visitors to Krakow for the World Youth Day. We did however manage to get in by turning up when it opened one morning and there weres a limited number of tickets available. It was quite an amazing place and well worth a visit.
