Help from the Community Member To Member Support I have set Time Away for my listings, and a summary of when I am away (for two weeks holiday) but bidders say they cannot see the “banner”. I’ve searched through the Help topics and it seems to say that EBayers only get a message when they try to contact me. I am sure that before, at the top of each listing it clearly said something along the lines of “this buyer is away until xx July and there will be a delay in posting”. Has Time Away changed ? Ok, I am told I have to “Pause sales”. Apparently this does not effect auctions, but stops sales of Fixed Price (Buy It Now) listings. I am sure this is new and in the past, going away on holiday did not affect ANY listings ? I still do not understand (and EBay help could not explain) why my “banner” (the header saying I am going away) has not been showing since 6 July the date that I set for it to start. Can anyone help: is this a change ? As,long as buyers are told, why do I need to end Fixed Price listings for this period ?????? I am now on hold, half way through talking to an agent. They have no idea why they are not showing, and have put me on hold while they ask. Initially said it was because the App had changed. Irrelevant as I set this Time Away in the last few days. Then they said it was because my auction period (7 days) was shorter than my Time Away period so I would need to edit every single listing so they all end after I come back from holiday. That must be wrong (and is not how it worked in the past). Ten mins now on hold and no one can tell me why my Time Away settings are not showing

Not to my knowledge ,but you listings clearly show you aren't away. Have you done it from this link? https://www.ebay.co.uk/vac/timeaway I was told I had no option but to Pause Listings. The Time Away page clearly says that you can continue to sell for 15 days (I am away for 14 days, and my Time Away was set for 14 days. I have spent about two hours trying to sort this out this morning, so have just done what they said. But then, you cannot “start immediately” so I have scheduled this for 10am UK time (ie in 13 mins). If the “banner” does not appear then, I will have to ask for another Call Back. I am convinced this is a change to how Time Away works as I have used it many times before. Alternatively ( which I think is the case) there is a glitch in their system. I set the Time Away last week, for the “banner” to show from Monday 6th, and it has never appeared. The agent was just unable to explain why (and as per your message, it clearly is not visible). Suggest you enter Time Away in Help and Contact, and read to see if there have been any changes I’ve tried that and am going round and round in a loop. Despite constant “speak to an agent options”, there just does not seem to be an option to do so…..grrrrr
