S scharti last edited by Almost everyday after start up, Whatsapp Web logged out and showing the QR-Code for reconnecting. It gets really frustrating, but I don't want to change my Browser again. I am really happy with Vivaldi though. Does anyone out there has a working resolution for me please L 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 0

What about cookie settings, you need to preserve Whatsapp cookies to even have a chance keeping your login status. modifications ◊ command chain recipes ◊ dashboard widgets S 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 0

S scharti @luetage last edited by @ luetage No I am running it just in a pinned tab. Cookie settings are set to store data generally on my device. Just checked the website data for https://web.whatsapp.com and it stored cookies normal. Played also around with browser masking, but it doesn't make a difference. L 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 0

L luetage Supporters Early Access @scharti last edited by luetage @ scharti Just to make sure, in vivaldi:settings/privacy/ , website permissions and global permissions you have cookies set to «allow?» Then it should obviously work. Try to delete cookies and cache for Whatsapp, login again and restart. This seems to be a rather common problem for Whatsapp on desktop. Found quite a few people complaining about it with a web search. Maybe it’s not a Vivaldi specific issue. modifications ◊ command chain recipes ◊ dashboard widgets S 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 0

W WildEnte Advocate Early Access @scharti last edited by @ scharti Whatsapp works very well in a web panel by the way. I have seen it log out occasionally, but it's certainly not happening often. Running Linux Fedora running Vivaldi Snapshot builds. Opinionated about working efficiently with email. Folders are evil | Mail workflow: receive, read, reply, mark as read, done. 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 1

K KleinerSchlingel last edited by I don't think, there's much difference if you use WA in a normal tab or in a web panel. Because a web panel only is a web site loaded on the left or right side rsp. I've always found connecting the service works much better in a regular tab. If anyone happens to use WhatsApp in the panel, make sure to use desktop mode (not mobile). 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 0

S scharti last edited by Just after another restart I am disconnected/logged out again... ufff I really don't want to switch browser again, but if this can't be solved I have to whatsapp is essential P 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 0

P Pathduck Moderator Early Access Supporters @scharti last edited by Pathduck @ scharti The only way you get signed out of web sites is if you clear cookies. Vivaldi does not clear cookies on restart unless you ask it to. Maybe you have some third-party process on your system clearing cookies? CCleaner is known to cause such problems for instance, or other "privacy" related programs. Remove Whatsapp web panel Log in to the service in a regular tab (not panel!) Check you have cookies from the site in Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies. Since WA is a Facebook service, cookies from FB might also be needed. Close any WA tabs Close and restart the browser Do NOT open any WA tab Check you have cookies from the site in Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies If cookies are gone, something has deleted them and that's what you need to figure out 🎻 Volunteer helper · Forum moderator · Sopranos tester 🛠️ Troubleshooting 🐛 Report a bug 📜 Markdown help 🦆"With a rubber duck, one's never alone" -Douglas Adams🦆 S 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 0

Remove Whatsapp web panel

Close any WA tabs
Close and restart the browser
Do NOT open any WA tab

S scharti @Pathduck last edited by @ Pathduck Thanks for your reply. I followed your steps and after restarting the browser (and even the system) I checked if the cookies are there before successfully starting Whatsapp web. So it seems to run perfectly good, but at some unexplainable point I get kicked out... The Website permissions are now back on standard again, after I wiped anything from Whatsapp, but before I even avtivated all rights I even could have guessed are effecting the functionality... P Pathduck Moderator Early Access Supporters @scharti last edited by @ scharti I got the impression this was after every browser start? If not much harder to figure out, and maybe it's just "working as intended" from WA's side. I have no idea, don't use it myself. Others have said they stay signed in so this looks like something on your end. 🎻 Volunteer helper · Forum moderator · Sopranos tester 🛠️ Troubleshooting 🐛 Report a bug 📜 Markdown help 🦆"With a rubber duck, one's never alone" -Douglas Adams🦆 1 Reply Last reply Reply Quote 0
