Figma team,I’m currently enrolled as a student and I’m trying to renew my Figma Education status, but I’m unable to complete the verification process. Here’s what happened:My Figma Education status expired, so I started the renewal/verification process. I attempted verification only twice in total — once using my personal Gmail address associated with my Figma account, and once using my official institutional Outlook email. Both attempts resulted in “Verification Limit Exceeded.” During the first attempt, I received a SheerID email saying that the verification link would expire on September 1, 2026. However, I actually received that email on September 2, 2026, meaning the link was already expired when it reached me. When I tried to open the link, I received the message: “We couldn't continue your verification. We are unable to verify you at this time.” I never reached the stage where I could upload my student ID or proof of enrollment.I have already contacted SheerID support . I have al
Hi everyone,I permanently deleted some files in Figma trash, but I also want to make sure that these files are deleted from the Figma server.I don’t know if permanently deleted files in trash means that these files are also deleted from the server? Or the files are still stored on the server?I’ve attempted to contact Figma team by submit a support request as ticket(#2095775) through AI support chat. But it’s been a week, I haven’t received any reply email. Is there a better way to contact related team to solve my request?

Hi Figma team,Since September 1, images have stopped displaying when using Figma Mirror on mobile devices.Frames, text, shapes, and other UI elements are displayed normally, but image assets are completely missing in Mirror. What I've tested:Regular JPEG images do not display. The issue occurs across different Figma files. I tested it on my phone and my colleague tested it on a different phone — both have the same issue. Text, shapes, and other UI elements display normally. The images display correctly in the Figma design file itself.Expected behavior:Images should display normally in Figma Mirror along with the rest of the frame.Actual behavior:The frame is mirrored correctly, but all image assets are missing. This issue has persisted since September 1 and is reproducible on multiple mobile devices. Is this a known issue with Figma Mirror's image rendering or asset loading? Thanks!
Hi everyone,I'm currently cleaning up and standardizing token mapping across our design system, and I've run into a variable/mode issue that I can't explain.I have an Accordion component that should be mapped exclusively to our Gifted variable collection. When I inspect the component and click into the variable bindings, everything appears correct. The variables are bound to the expected tokens within the Gifted collection. However, when I look at the Modes section in the right-hand panel, Figma shows that the component is also tied to the Common Components collection, which shouldn't be happening. What's confusing is that, after further investigation, it seems the issue may be related to a success state icon variable. The problem is:The Accordion component doesn't appear to have any success state icon variables in its variable assignments. The success state icon variable only exists in the Gifted collection. There isn't a corresponding success state icon variable in the Common Components
When rendering motion to MP4, the resulting video has different quality and colors (it becomes darker) than what's displayed in Figma. For the simplest example, I took a PNG and added keyframes at the beginning and end that don't change anything. Then, in the export, I selected MP4, high quality, and 30 fps. (It shows the file should be approximately 23 MB.)After rendering, the MP4 file is saved as a 300 KB file with poor quality. This happened recently; everything was fine before. How can I fix this? Thanks
I have a button component that I had built a long long time ago before Figma changed how variants worked / a lot of the new functionality was built that made them more flexible. This component is set up where I have a skeleton for a button with two sizes and a bunch of possible toggles (for icons, labels, etc), a second component which includes that skeleton as an instance which has all of the state / color variants, and a third icon-only component with specific dimensions for each size to keep them square that has the main button component with the skeleton instance nested within it.My issue is when using the icon-only button and changing the variant of the underlying button component (e.g. to change the style), and then changing the size of the icon button, the skeleton instance resets, undoing all overrides to the skeleton. This only happens when changing to a different variant of the button component - if I use the default button variant and make changes everything works fine.I’ve i
I'm hitting a persistent access error using the Figma MCP integration (Claude Code / Claude Desktop's plugin:figma:figma connector) against my own file.Account: (redacted by the moderator due to PII) ("Kelson da Costa Medeiros"), team "Kelson da Costa Medeiros's team" (starter tier, seat shows as "Full" via whoami but I purchased a Dev seat).File: https://www.figma.com/design/lLmb3BJsEXJ4FGJjwfIkk8/Sabi%C3%A1 — I am the owner of this file. The Share dialog confirms "Anyone in Kelson Medeiros" has can edit, and I (owner) obviously have edit access.Error: Every call to get_metadata (and presumably get_design_context) returns:"Looks like you don't have edit access to this file. The file owner can share it with you and make you an editor."What I've tried (no change, same error each time):Verified file sharing permissions (already correct — owner + team-wide edit access). Fully disconnected and reconnected the Figma MCP integration from Claude Code (/mcp disconnect + reconnect). Restarted t
Feature Request to Resolve Ongoing Library Problem: Allow Swap Library to Replace Local Variables with Published Library Variables I would like Swap library to support replacing local variables in a file with variables from a published library when the collection structure and variable names match. Today, Swap library only supports library-to-library swaps, which means local variables cannot be migrated directly to an existing published library. This creates extra overhead because the workaround is to publish the local variables as a separate library first, only to swap them afterward. Since variable replacement by matching names already works within a local file, extending that behavior to local-to-library swaps would make migration to standardized library variables much easier. Example:A file has local variables in a collection called “Module 1 Semantic Theme.” That file also has layers using local variables like “Color / Text / Primary” and “Color / Background / Default.” Your publ
Problem: Figma does not appear in the Plugin directory in ChatGPT web or the desktop app. The search returns no results. The official Figma plugin page shows “Add plugin.” When I select it, I get this error: “We couldn't load this plugin right now. Please try again in a bit.” The problem occurred on August 31 and September 1, 2026.
Hi, I’m trying to recover some screens that were created by the Figma Agent and later deleted during the same Agent workflow.I asked the Agent to analyze an existing user flow, identify navigation/path issues, and create the missing or corrected screens needed to fix those issues. The Agent successfully generated several screens directly in my Figma file. I saw the screens on the canvas and they contained work that I need to recover. However, while continuing to work with the Agent, those screens were subsequently deleted/removed by the Agent.I tried using Version History to restore an earlier state of the file, but the generated screens do not appear in any of the available versions. I cannot find a version corresponding to the moment when those screens existed on the canvas. Is there any separate history, log, checkpoint, or recovery mechanism for changes made by the Figma Agent? In particular, I would like to know whether it is possible to:recover objects/screens created and subsequentl
Before today, I could select an image, draw a closed vector shape in it, and use Paint to remove or add the image fill within that vector shape. This allowed me to cut out parts of an image using vector geometry, without using a mask. For example:1. Select an image.2. Enter vector editing.3. Draw a closed vector shape over the desired area.4. Use Paint to remove/add the image fill inside that vector shape. If the vector shape was not closed, Figma simply would not allow the fill operation. It did not switch to Crop. Now, when I select Paint, Figma immediately switches to Crop → Custom. The vector shapes can still be created, but I can no longer use Paint to edit the image fill through those vectors. This is particularly important because I have existing Figma files where image cutouts were created using exactly this workflow. They were made with vector geometry, not masks. The objects are still clearly vector-based, but I can no longer edit their image fills using the previous method.I als
Hello,I recently asked Figma to make several updates to my app. The message indicated that the changes were completed, but none of them are reflected in the app. The request still used my remaining credits, so I am now out of credits for the day without receiving the requested updates.Could you please review this issue, restore the credits that were used, and advise me on how to ensure the changes are properly applied?Thank you for your assistance.
I love the new addition of Figma Motion and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. In particular, the ability to export an animated SVG is fantastic and saves me so much time authoring animations “by hand”!ProblemI do however have a problem with the exported files. When I set up my animation in Figma, everything looks great. Exporting it as SVG adds additional transform attribute to the group, which (if it has animations) completely displaces it by said transform. When I remove the transform attribute from the group, the layout is fixed and resembles what I can see in Figma.I suppose the source of the problem is somewhere in the code that parses the animation set up in Figma and converts it to the SVG animation keyframes. As the keyframes already specify the position / translation, the additional transform on the group moves the entire group an breaks the offsets specified by the keyframes.ExampleMy example uses two rectangles with rounded corners, both of which are within a mask gro
I am 12 student I like ui and ux designing so I use figma more .then I came to know that free policy for students so I am Willing to use that policy as a student but I can't find out my school in verification page but I am a student due to it . I am unable to complete the student verification process. So please help me to login .
Couldn't load Make. Try checking your network connection or refreshing the page. (M2) Hello Figma Support,Figma Make was working normally before, but it suddenly stopped working. The issue now occurs on multiple computers, using different internet connections and different VPNs, so it does not appear to be limited to one device, network, proxy, or VPN.Figma’s Network settings show the following domains as Blocked:*.figma.site *.makeproxy-c.figma.site *.makeproxy-m.figma.siteOther network checks, such as publishing libraries, importing content, adding media, and fetching the font list, are available. We also tried the DNS solutions suggested in the Figma Community, including adding:1.1.1.1 8.8.8.8However, this did not resolve the issue.Since Figma Make was previously working and the problem affects multiple devices and independent networks, we suspect there may be a service-side, regional, DNS, or domain configuration issue affecting Figma Make. This issue is seriously affecting our norma
We are successful in accessing the figma remote MCP exposed at "https://mcp.figma.com/mcp" via OAuth based access via browser SSO login. We are exploring ways to automate figma MCP access in a headless mode so would like to understand passing PAT token for remote MCP authentication. We tried passing PAT in Auth headers and X-Figma-Token header but get unauthorized for remote MCP at this endpoint "https://mcp.figma.com/mcp". We are able to use the dev mode and local MCP with the figma desktop app as explained above we need to access these tools in a headless mode and would understand if there are any settings that needs to be enabled at the admin level to support PAT for remote MCP auth. ❯ curl --location 'https://mcp.figma.com/mcp' \--header 'Content-Type: application/json' \--header 'X-Figma-Token: figd_xxxx' \--header 'Accept: application/json' \--data '{ "jsonrpc": "2.0", "method": "tools/list", "params": {}, "id": "1" }'Unauthorized❯ curl --location 'https://mcp.figma.

Token-based authentication and MCPWe need to connect to the Figma MCP from Cursor. The current integration uses OAuth; we would prefer to authenticate with Access TokenIs there an official or recommended MCP solution from Figma that supports token-based authentication?
Every time I exit Figma and come back, the previously selected sort order is lost, and it defaults to "Last modified" – "Newest first". Previously, the selected sorting option was always preserved.
Previously, when I created my Make file, it had a Pages feature that allowed me to jump to the pages I wanted.I went on vacation, and now it doesn't work anymore. When I click on "Enable Pages," it pastes a prompt into the agent, and AI tells that the feature is already implemented, but it doesn't actually work. It also consumes a lot of tokens. 😡And after I told it that the feature doesn't work, this was the reasoning: Ah, I understand now! When the user clicks "Enable pages" in the Figma Make UI, it automatically sends the prompt "Let's enable pages for my project. Ask me questions to clarify my goals or suggest options, then create or update pages and enable routing as needed." to Claude. This is a built-in Figma Make feature/skill that triggers this specific prompt. So the issue is that Figma Make's "Enable pages" feature is a specific platform feature that works differently from what I've been trying to do. The platform is reverting my __figma__entrypoint__.ts changes back to just
I discontinued my Figma Pro subscription on 24-Aug-2026, but a renewal charge of $20.56 USD was applied on 26-Aug-2026. My workspace is now on the Starter plan. I would like help reviewing why this renewal charge was processed after discontinuation and what options are available and process refund. Please process the refund of this payment at the earliest.
Hi everyone,I'm looking for a way to connect individual objects across different frames in a Design File to show UI flows, and I can't find a solution that ticks all these boxes:Machine-readable — the connection needs to exist as structured data queryable via the REST API / Plugin API (e.g. a node with startNodeId/endNodeId references), not just a visual line. Element-to-element across frames — connecting a specific object inside one frame to a specific object inside a different frame, not just frame-to-frame. Visible without Edit access — viewers with view-only access need to see the connections. Wrappable as a Component — for reusability with Component Properties (e.g. trigger, condition labels). Design Files only — not FigJam, since the connections need to live in the same file as the actual designs. What I've tried:Prototype connections — not visible without Edit access, and hard to query for additional logic. Native Connector tool — anchors to top-level frames but not to nested ele
Hi everyone,I’m testing the new Figma Motion feature and everything feels very intuitive so far, but I’m running into an issue with video playback. The Motion animation itself works correctly, but any video used inside the animated frame stays frozen on its first frame. This happens both in the Motion preview and in the exported MP4.At first, I thought the issue might be related to using the video as a background fill. However, I also tried placing the video as its own separate layer/object inside the frame, and the result is the same: the video still does not play. It remains frozen on the first frame. So the issue does not seem to be related to the video being used as a background. It seems more like Figma Motion is treating video fills/video layers as static images. What I have checked so far:The video is inside the animated frame. The video was tested both as a background fill and as a separate layer/object. The Motion keyframes work correctly. The issue happens both in the Motion pre
