I have been struggling to change the pre-set Row Height of 409. I have looked in all the Advance and Normal settings and end up going around in circles. Why have M/s made it that I cannot CHANGE it ??? Why would they possibly care if it's more than 409 !?? Utterly spoiling what was a good program! There seem to be other limitations too which are almost as infuriating ! Like telling me WHEN I am going to be 'active' on my comouter ! Utterly insane! How dare it try to monitor when I use my computer! And then demand only 8hr blocks ! ?? What? Clearly they have zero idea about how people use their computers! If you want to change the row height to more than 409, I’d like to say that the maximum value of the row height is 409 in the Excel application by default. You can merge cells to effectively get a greater cell height. Can't just merge entire rows or you get just one cell for the entire merged rows. However, you can merge individual cells in different adjacent rows within a column. In this instance I'm using a Diet Menu, but I can think of 100's of other excel files I have from accounts to databases where I may need to make notes about companies etc where it might go beyond the 409 (not lines but a set 'size')! I just cannot deal with restrictions! If they continue I'll have to useanother program! Although once I've got Drupal working then maybe I can shelve it anyway! :) But I've typically liked Excel. I don't want to have to restrict how I present info (as I'm having to now)!!! GRRRRR Or have to merge cels as that then throws out the other columns. So I've tried to turn it off but I'm not convinced that I have. Just annoyed it assumes we all operate 'normal standard' lives! I am in control of my **** not it telling me when it'll do things! I've had to highlight a whole load on the list and slide them down ! Wish I NEVER got a laptop with Win 10 - been a total nightmare. Wish I was still on win7 prof and the older Excel as it WORKED. :( How these programmers get away with launching programs that at best are beta copies I cannot imagine.
